Good to hear from you, Jan! Hope all is well across the pond. Thank you so much for your words and for the well-wishes. I’ll bet you are enjoying Patrick’s successes and having all of the boys/men together this summer after your final graduation ceremony! I also hope you and your mum rescheduled your junket to London!! Post more pics and give Dougal kisses!!!! :) xo Victoria
Born in Philadelphia and temporarily brainwashed in college. Graduated from Villanova University and quickly detoxed from the comfort of academia by lots of hard work and real life experiences. Quickly smitten by Gary and absolutely unwaveringly euphoric around him, still. Blessed with a daughter in 1991 and a son in 1993. Humbled by my son's severe illness in 1995 and grateful beyond measure for his eventual recovery which defied all prognoses. Discovered God among Epicopalians in an Episcopal Church and began to enjoy Him among Presbyterians, in a Presbyterian Church. Now in my mid-sixties, I am content to understand God and His will for us in simple, wonderful and uncomplicated ways - among and with anyone, anywhere. Strongly believe and steadily receive His love and mercy, gratefully and with an open heart. Moved 14 times, in seven different states (that’s U.S. states, NOT the state of anxiety, shock, fear, happiness, menopause, etc.). Have written and published two books, discovered and sold a patent for a new treatment methodology using a little-understood hormone. Home schooled both of my children up until college age. Created the world's best music-based phonics and reading curriculum, now utilized by millions of children who are developmentally challenged, wildly brilliant, or anywhere in between, offered at no charge, to anyone, anywhere in the world. (www.BeExcellent.com) Blessed beyond measure, still crazy-in-love with the dashing Mr. Beck, and enjoy family time (and dogs) more than just about anything. Lacking in my life has been the physical presence of parents, who have both been deceased for almost forty years. Never lacking, however, is my memory of them and their inspiration to live a meaningful life, especially by standing up in defense of important principles and the truth. Thankful for life in the free state of Florida, where all of the Becks treasure walks on the beach together, waking up to sunshine and lots of outdoor living. Our Soft-Coated Wheaten Terriers are central to our daily dynamic and five of them (consecutively and quite adorably) have ruled our roost - none of them as intentionally as our present dog, Luke, who herds us emphatically, entertains us unwittingly, and loves us unconditionally. I like to write in moments of spare time - and have a few passionate views about people and the world, some of which I post here. After all, this is ...not JUST a wife and mom.com!
